.:Constellations:.
Apollo gave his son, Orpheus, a gift made by Hermes. Orpheus fell in love with the nymph Eurydice and married her. However, she was bitten by a snake and died. Orpheus followed her into the Underworld to try and get her back. Hades agreed on one condition, that he didn't look back. Sadly upon reaching the daylight he looked back to make sure his wife was still there, but alas by this, she was sent back to the underworld forever. Taken by grief, Orpheus would not marry any other beautiful women. It is said he was torn limb by limb and sent down the river Herbus with his gift. The Muses buried Orpheus, and he lived happily with his wife Eurydice for all eternity. This constellation, which is now visible in the sky where I am (northern hemishpere), represents this story.
