Stuff I Like
Software and Tools
A collection of software, etc that I use all the time, everyday.
- Terminal - The do-it-all buddy
- Firefox - Though I have about 6 browsers installed on my computer, I stick to this one because of the community (extensions, themes, etc).
- TextWrangler - Simple and powerful.
- Quicksilver - The other do-it-all buddy. The first application I download on a Mac. (after a browser)
- Adium - Multi-protocol IM goodness
- iStatPro - The most awesome 'monitor-everything-on-your-computer' widget
- ColorZilla - Very fun way to find colors
Clothing
I've started ordering most of my shirts online, and have jumped into the online t-shirt scene. Here are some of my favorite places, listed in order by the amount of shirts I have from each place. (greatest -> least)
- Design By Humans - Superb designs, full printing area to edges of shirt, lots of colors, many varieties of ink/printing methods, girly shirts that fit really well.
- Stupid Hurts Me - I ordered 2 shirts from this site, and it's awesome because a part of the price of the shirt goes towards kiva.org to support microfinancing. Consistantly beautiful designs.
- shirt.woot - My favorite designs come form the derby, though I do have a non-derby one as well. Cheap (hard to beat $10 with free shipping all the time), good designs, something new everyday.
- TeeFury - Hit or miss for me, more miss, but sometimes, awesome. Again cheap, and something new everyday. I do like the shirts that these are printed on better than shirt.woot, very similar to DBH.
- wooshka - I have a shirt from them, but they seem to be more expensive for my taste, partly because they are coming from Austrailia to the US, but the designs there rock.
- Cameesa - I have 2! One from supporting, the other from winning a contest! I absolutely love this idea, I'd work for them if they were hiring because it's such an awesome business plan and I really think it'll catch on.
Random Online Artists
Really, random artists that I have seen their work online
- David Lanham - I use his icons and wallpapers all over my computer, his style just resonates with me.
- Travis Gentry - Know through shirt.woot because not only are his shirts good artwork, but they are usually some of the most witty and smart entries. Would also buy prints of his work.
- collision theory/AJ Dimarucot - shirts, and other random things.
Really Super Random
- Pixar - No, seriously not just like, but way obsessed. Really quite more than your average Pixar fan.
- Dragons - I have shirts, calendars, posters, applications of these beautiful creatues. They'll always amaze me.
- Charades - It never gets old, and no matter what group of people I'm with or whatever lame words we're doing, I always end up in hysterical laughter.
- xkcd - Because I usually don't read comics, but this humor is too funny to pass over.
